It's not just a slogan, it's the heart of all that we do...
We at Ohio Valley Bank pledge to make a difference in our communities.
Whether it is volunteering to plant flowers or providing guidance for non-profit groups or inspiring others to shop locally, or opening our doors for free events for the community, when there is good work to be done, you will find someone from OVB close by.
Coming Community Events hosted by OVB
All October - Coat Drive. The bank's Veterans Action Committee is hosting a Coat Drive during the month of October. Drop off coats or monetary donations at any branch. The coats will be passed out to veterans and their families in Gallipolis, Huntington, Barboursville, and Chillicothe.
All October - Main/Mini Kids Coloring Contest. Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade can pick up an entry coloring sheet at the Main Office or Mini Bank. Contest rules are on the sheet. Deadline to enter is Oct. 31 at 3:30 pm. Entries must be turned in at the Main Office.
Oct. 11 - Debut of Oaks United Community First Debit Card design. Known for their Growing Oaks Food Bank, Oaks United is an important part of the community. We are pleased to offer up a new design to help them raise funds for the good work they do in our Oak Hill community. This is our first card in Oak Hill and it features (of all things) a giant oak tree.
Oct. 22 - Trunk or Treat at OVB Bend Area. Our Bend Area Office is hosting a trunk or treat from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and everyone's invited! Free trick or treat sacks to the first 100 kids plus refreshements, games, and of course scary good fun. Don't forget your costumes.
Oct. 24 - Trick or Treat at the OVB Main Office. We'll have the white tent set up on Third Avenue in Gallipolis during the city's trick or treat. Plenty of treats plus see the entries in the community bankers' pumpkin decorating contest.
Oct. 25 - Customer Appreciation Day at OVB Barboursville. From 4-6 pm, customers can enjoy pizza, drinks, chips, and candy at this Halloween-themed event. There will be games and staff is also working on a costume contest.
Oct. 25 - Customer Appreciation Day at OVB Oak Hill. From 11 am until 3 pm, customers will be served pizza and popcorn at this Fall-themed event.
