Security

Information is not stored on your phone. Text messages do not contain personal financial information. CellTeller uses SSL and the same security standards as NetTeller. Since your account data is not stored on your cell phone, your information cannot be obtained if your phone is stolen.

Requirements

CellTeller works with any web-enabled mobile phone device whose network allows secure SSL traffic. If you are not sure, contact your service provider. You must have NetTeller. CellTeller is a free expansion of your NetTeller service. CellTeller is currently not available for Cash Management.

You may access your accounts via any mobile device that is web-enabled and allows secure SSL traffic. The only difference is that confirmation text messages will be sent only to the device that you designated during enrollment, not the device from which you performed the transaction.

Troubleshooting

If you are receiving an error message such as: Data Server Unavailable, Network Connection Lost, Network Not Available, or other similar messages, the most likely culprit is that your call is being dropped. The most common cause of dropped calls is low signal strength. Your cell phone carrier should be able to provide assistance.

If you are not receiving one of the error messages listed above, check to see that you have NetTeller and that you have a web-enabled phone that accepts SSL traffic. If you are not sure if your phone is web-enabled, contact your phone carrier (i.e. AT&T, Sprint, Alltel, Verizon, etc.). Keep in mind that CellTeller is not available for Cash Management users.

The Internet Call Center is available for support of CellTeller. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday. Contact the Internet Call Center by emailing callcenter@ovbc.com.
