How often does OVB receive stimulus payments?

Stimulus payments come to the bank via the Federal Reserve as ACH payments to be posted to accounts once daily during nightly processing. They are only received Monday through Friday. No payments are received on Saturdays, Sundays, or federal holidays; though New Year's Day is an exception due to end of year processing.

If you check for a stimulus deposit once in the morning, and it is not there, you don't have to check the rest of the day.

The earliest stimulus payments have been marked with an effective date of March 17 to be deposited to accounts.

Quick ways to check your account:
  • No-wait OVB Line telephone banking 1-888-FONE-OVB (1-888-366-3682)
  • Any OVB ATM
  • Text Message Banking
  • NetTeller or OVB App (due to high traffic expected, these could run slowly)
  • Stop by any office
  • Due to high call volumes, we do not recommend calling
*For security, we do not share account information via email or social networks

We also recommend setting up online alerts for the payment.
To setup in NetTeller at a computer:
To set up the alert, login to NetTeller and click on Options, then Alerts.
Under Event Alerts, choose Edit Event Alerts
Check "Text" next to Receiving Incoming ACH Credits
Confirm the text number you want the alert sent to

To setup in the OVB Mobile App:
Login to the App
Press on the account that will receive the payment
Select Alert Preferences
Under Transaction alerts, choose Add alert
Change the alert phrase to:
When a (debit) is over $(one dollar less than expected payment)
Select to receive by email, text, or in-app message
Press the Add Alert button
