BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. – On July 15, Ohio Valley Bank announced the launch of the latest design in the bank’s Community First debit card lineup.
The new card features a playful kitten and puppy, showcasing the need for the humane treatment and care of pets in our region. The card design was inspired by the work of the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Control Shelter, which helps more than 3,000 animals find their forever home every year.
"As someone who has personally been honored to have volunteered at the shelter and spent time caring for these loving animals, this card is especially meaningful to me. I urge everyone to show their support by upgrading their card or giving directly to the shelter. These animals need us," said Audra Callicoat, region branch manager, Ohio Valley Bank.
Ohio Valley Bank checking account holders can choose to upgrade the look of their debit card to the new design for $10, with $5 being donated back to the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Control Shelter.
The bank also reminds everyone that debit cards are now contactless, enabled with tap to pay capability. Making now the perfect time to request a new card and take advantage of this convenient technology.
The new Animal Shelter design is instantly issued at all Ohio Valley Bank branches. No appointment necessary. Walk out with a card in just a few minutes. For more information on the cards and to see all currently available designs, visit www.ovbc.com/communitycards.
