GALLIPOLIS – Ohio Valley Bank recently promoted Mary McKinniss to assistant vice president I. In addition to her new title, McKinniss serves as the bank’s compliance officer II, fair lending officer.

McKinniss began her career with OVB in 2014 working as a customer service representative for the bank’s Gallia County locations. She worked in other areas of the bank before accepting a role in the compliance department. Drew Hudson, OVB vice president, senior compliance officer, described McKinniss’s promotion as being well-earned.

“Mary deserves this promotion. She’s been in the compliance department for nine years and has performed exceptionally. She has received both the Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) and the Fair Lending Expert (FLE) certificates in the compliance field. She has been a key member on multiple regulatory exams and during the most recent exam, she was the lead for anything fair lending related,” Hudson said.

McKinniss is a 2012 graduate of River Valley High School. She also received her bachelor’s in applied management from Ohio University as well as her banking certification from the University of Rio Grande.

Outside of work, McKinniss enjoys spending time with her husband, Morgan, and their two daughters.
