CHARLESTON – Ohio Valley Bank hosted a grand opening event Monday, June 22, to celebrate the new OVB Charleston Loan Office.
Located in the heart of downtown Charleston at 231 Capitol Street, Suite 300, the office is operated by Jared Burdette, OVB vice president, commercial banking. During the grand opening, Burdette shared that he was thrilled to expand OVB’s lending services and community-driven focus to the Charleston area.
Kicking off the event was Erin Noon, director of communications and events coordinator with the Charleston Area Alliance & Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Senator Jim Justice’s office also presented OVB with a Certificate of Recognition in honor of the bank’s new location.
OVB Chief Executive Officer Larry Miller said he was pleased to see the bank’s continued growth, while OVB President and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Jones spoke about the bank’s Community First mission, which coincides with the company’s long-standing tradition of using a “money ribbon” for grand opening events. As per tradition, the money ribbon funds are donated to a local charity.
For the Charleston grand opening, Burdette presented the $500 money ribbon funds to Rea of Hope, whose mission is to help West Virginia women suffering from alcohol and/or drug addiction by teaching the life skills and self-sufficiency required to reach sustained recovery, while providing safe, affordable, and supportive housing for them and their children.
Following the donation presentation, Burdette invited guests to tour the new office as well as enjoy refreshments provided by Sarah’s Bakery.
The OVB Charleston Loan Office is open Monday-Friday by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please reach out to Burdette at jtburdette@ovbc.com or call either 304-945-1871 or 800-468-6682. For more information on this location, visit https://www.ovbc.com/hours.
