GALLIPOLIS – Ohio Valley Bank recently named Jenni Swain an officer of the bank. As Assistant Cashier, Marketing Specialist, Swain will continue to showcase her talents within the bank’s marketing department.

Kyla Carpenter, OVB vice president and director of marketing, described Swain’s promotion as well deserved.

“I am thrilled with Jenni’s recent promotion and recognition as a bank officer. It is a blessing to work alongside this talented lady. Jenni is a rising star and, undoubtedly, one of the future leaders of Ohio Valley Bank,” Carpenter said.

Swain has been a valued member of the OVB team for nearly 22 years. As a 2004 graduate of South Gallia High School, she started her career with the bank during her senior year working in the commercial loan department as a file room clerk. She has worked in many areas of the bank prior to joining the marketing team in 2017. In addition, Swain currently chairs the OVB Special Events Team and serves on both Team OVB and the bank’s Veteran’s Action Committee.

During her career with OVB, Swain has achieved many accolades as well, including completing OVB Management Training. She is also a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League Bank Leadership Institute.

Outside of work, Swain is very involved in the community. She is a recipient of the Marianne Campbell Volunteer of the Year Award. Swain previously served as president of the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce and is currently the historian for the South Gallia Alumni Board. She is also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Swain currently resides in Crown City with her husband of 21 years and their four daughters.
